Vessel is the third studio album by American musical duo Twenty One Pilots, which was released on January 8, 2013. It is the band's first album released via Fueled.
Tyler Joseph of recently spoke with AP’s Editor In Chief Jason Pettigrew about how the industry. Towards the end of their talk, Joseph dropped some preliminary details on the band’s next album. “I feel a greater sense of freedom and less pressure,” he admitted. The two remained friends as Thomas transferred into Joseph's school for eighth grade and throughout the duration of high school as well. From around 2007 to 2008, Joseph recorded a solo album entitled in his basement. It was later revealed that Nick Thomas contributed guitar to a couple songs on the album, and that Joseph and Thomas collaborated on the No Phun Intended song 'Trees', of which was later to become a signature Twenty One Pilots song. While attending, Joseph met future bandmate Christopher Mark 'Chris' Salih (pronounced 'SAW-lee') at a party.
Salih possessed a musical background along with roots in. Salih then consulted Joseph about making music, and impressed by the homemade studio Salih had built into his basement, the two began to work on music together. Before their first performance, they invited Thomas, who had never played the bass before, to join them as bassist.
