You will always need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view.pdf files. If you don't already have it, go here to get the Adobe Acrobat reader for your Firefox browser: Install it, and you should be good to go.

For more control get PDF addon, so you can decide where you want to view your pdf instead of it necessarily opening in your browser window.
